Agilent Introduces SurePrint G3 Gene Expression Microarrays

The Agilent SurePrint G3 Human GE 8x60K Microarrays offer the same high sensitivity and accuracy provided by the earlier generation arrays but adds the benefits of extended coverage, greater throughput, and increased cost savings. The new SurePrint G3 Human GE 8x60K Microarrays and Human GE 4x44K v2 Microarrays are based on updated transcriptome databases for mRNA targets, while the SurePrint G3 arrays also include probes for lincRNAs (long intergenic non-coding RNAs). With the combination of mRNA and lincRNAs, it is now possible to perform two experiments on a single microarray, confidently predicting lincRNA function.

  • Updated content providing full coverage of human genes and transcripts, including non-coding RNAs on the SurePrint G3 8x60K format

  • Enriched content sourced from RefSeq, Ensembl, UniGene Human Genome, and GenBank databases

  • Empirically validated probes of the highest quality

  • Printed using Agilent's 60-mer SurePrint technology

  • Each slide contains eight 60K microarrays or four 44K microarrays, and can be purchased as a kit or as a single slide

Illumina HumanHT-12 v4 BeadChip is now available

We are pleased to announce the Illumina HumanHT-12 v4 BeadChip (BD-103-0204 / BD-103-0604), an update to Illumina’s high-throughput human whole-genome expression array product line.  HumanHT-12 v4 is now available for order, with delivery available within standard Illumina lead time.  With this update, the HumanHT-12 is now even more compelling:

  • Covers more than 47,000 transcripts and known splice variants from RefSeq Database Release 38 (Nov 07, 2009) and supplemental sources

  • Developed with 3x larger-scale bead pool, to last longer and support longer-term projects between versions

  • Supports ERCC spike-in controls to gauge performance (Available from Ambion June, 2010)

  • Fully compatible with BeadArray Reader, iScan, and the new HiScanSQ system

The version 3 bead chips, HumanHT-12 v3, HumanWG-6 v3, and HumanRef-8 v3, are expected to be available for order through July 1st, 2010.  Actual availability may be longer.  However with a limited supply remaining we encourage you to utilize the HumanHT-12 v4 for any new projects that you are considering.
